09/25/2015 good news:

According to BBC U.S. Speaker of the House of Representatives John Boehner is "the first casualty from the new anti-establishment wave in the Republican Party", It seems to be a step in the right direction although Republicans still will continue.increasing DoD budgets. We'll know soon enough how much noticeable change is in store.

09/21/2015 Miller on House Speaker:

There is a laudable effort underway to remove John Boehner as Speaker of the U.S House of Representatives. Congressman Jeff Miller previously supported Mr. Boehner and recently I asked him to oppose Mr. Boehner assuming he could do so in good conscience. Congressman Miller's reply to me is understandably non-committal nevertheless very informative. I have reason to believe a vote on the issue is imminent.

This is a direct quote from Congressman Miller's e-mail to me: "As you know, Congressman Mark Meadows (R-NC) introduced H.Res.385, Declaring the office of Speaker of the House of Representatives vacant, on July 28, 2015. This resolution would vacate the office of Speaker of the House, thereby requiring an additional vote choose a Speaker. H.Res.385 was referred to the House Rules Committee, where it awaits further action."

09/16/2015 terrorists have won:

If there is a doubt in your mind that the terrorists have won their war on freedom that Dubbya implicitly and expediently manufactured after 9/11, read this story about Ahmed's alarm clock. It's not simply that the staff of a Texas high school has been subtly trained to react with paranoia or that many other American institutions and organizations will react in the same manner. It's also that the U.S. Department of Defense [the U.S. military in other words] is authorized to spy on U.S. citizens and continues to do so despite a few court rulings and much public outcry in opposition [NSA is a DoD component]. America has been incrementally malformed since 9/11 and has voluntarily legislated her freedoms away while terrorist organizations continue to thrive unchanged and enjoy exponential growth. Who's the winner here?

In addition to spawning the epidemic of contagious national paranoia, ill-advised knee-jerk U.S. legislation which followed 9/11 has essentially nullified America's constitutional protections, posse comitatus, due process, and habeas corpus—civil and political liberties generally recognized and practiced worldwide since being set down in writing around 1215 yet no longer appreciated by the land of the free. Presumption of innocence and the castle doctrine have been preempted as well. That America allegedly existing and blossoming immediately after WWII is history and myth. In 1961 Ike warned that the U.S. military-industrial complex might acquire misplaced power enough to pillage exemplary socioeconomic traditions, and it has—thanks in large part to Dubbya's ludicrous war on terror..

Of course the terrorists have never been concerned with our freedoms as claimed by POTUS MISLEADUS. They have always been concerned [rightfully so] with our hubris and hegemony. Osama bin Laden's "...three core rationalizations for seeking revenge and retribution are contained [on a video tape he made in October 2001]...and are well presented by Chalmers Johnson in the Prologue to Nemesis. They include:

There is no consolation in learning that the attacks on American soil were acts of vengeance and retribution for perceived wrongs but it is crucially important to understand that the perpetrators were not 'protesting our existence' in 2001 as declared by POTUS MISLEADUS in 2004 when addressing the Air Force Academy student body." **   It is also crucially important to realize that the U.S. Republican party undertook initial Middle East destabilization and consequently is the de facto instigator of Europe's current immigration problems as well.*

09/12/2015 election hope:

Well here's a story giving hope to the world: UK lame-stream couldn't prevent Jeremy Corbyn's landslide election head-up the UK Labor party. Read the story carefully and savor the nuances of this unlikely outcome. Corbyn's alluring values are implicit in his memberships. He " a member of the Palestinian Solidarity Campaign, Amnesty International, the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament and a founder of the Stop the War Coalition against 'unjust wars'..." The man can think and nevertheless won an election in stultified London.

It's a tiny ray of hope. Maybe even Bernie Sanders [read this story carefully too] has a chance to provide an alternative to the ludicrous reality of today's American politics. But don't count on it. Americans are fed-up but are so systemically beguiled that a preponderance of US-media-led Republican voters seem to think that Donald Trump's abject ignorance might provide a refuge from the lack of humanitarian concern and dearth of common sense plaguing contemporary America. Regardless most U.S. outcomes ultimately depend on money and appropriate connections. The candidate who delivered a state's election outcome to his brother a few years ago has quite a bit of both.

09/06/2015 Europe's refugees:

A number of worldwide pundits already have agreed Europe's refugee crisis to be the worst since WWII and there are no signs of its abating in a reasonable way.

Several Russian dignitaries have suggested that blame for the crisis lies directly with America's poorly devised foreign policies. For example according to RT.COM "The head of Russia's Chechen Republic claims the current asylum seeker crisis in European countries originated in the aggressive policies of the United States and the EU", and back in April Lieutenant General Andrey Kartapolov, head of the Main Operation Directorate of Russia's General Staff, stated that "The US appears to be the ultimate instigator of all military conflicts in the world".  Vladimir Putin has been more diplomatic1 nevetheless seems to have rightly identified the problem as well.

Think back to the days of George H.W. Bush's Gulf War and the consensus that without Saddam Hussein in power there would be an enormous leadership vacuum in the Middle East. Now fast-forward to Dubbya's opportunistic instigation of warfare without due cause of any kind. At least as far back as 2007 [don't miss this short video] General Westley Clark tried to bring attention to the inadequacies and absurdities of Dubbya-era policies which he sees as having been hijacked by the likes of Paul Wolfowitz, Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, and other warmongering conspirators.

Reasonable people everywhere would like to see justice meted-out to "perpetrators of the most serious crimes of concern to the international community" and toward that end 120 States in 1998 began establishing the Internationl zal Court (ICC) to end impunity for such actions. Tacitly emphasizing America's inherent disdain for accountability the United States has neither adopted nor ratified the legal basis for the ICC. [The following paragraphs are excerpts from the Quid Pro Quo essay posted at this site]: .

"Nonetheless the planet still harbors informed well-intentioned citizens of other nations2 who care about both progressive civilization and humanitarian issues. Malaysia for example wants both formal warfare and needless slaughter criminalized and toward that end hosts the impressively staffed and largely symbolic Kuala Lumpur War Crimes Tribunal (KLWCT). Unfortunately the Tribunal has no real clout and can only record the names of guilty parties in its own Register of War Criminals and report judicial findings to The Hague's International Criminal Court. Nevertheless on November 22, 2011, in absentia proceedings found George W Bush and Tony Blair guilty2 of crimes against peace and humanity as well as genocide because of their parts in the Iraq War."

"...KLWCT's impressively conducted proceedings reportedly adhered to protocols established at Nuremberg after WWII, and even though the trial was largely symbolic it nonetheless is considered by thinking earthlings a step in the right direction. Thankfully KLWCT efforts are continuous and in May 2012, the Tribunal also found George W. Bush and key players of his administration, including Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, Alberto Gonzales, and others "On the charge of Crime of Torture and War Crimes ... guilty as charged2 and convicted as war criminals for Torture and Cruel, Inhumane and Degrading Treatment of the Complainant War Crime Victims".

"Any just God can well bless America, universal humanitarian interests, and the living planet by blessing and condoning the efforts of KLWCT along with its findings. When paranoid US government stops treating everyone else as inferior enemies, even its own citizens, everyone else likely will react accordingly, perhaps even in contagious humanitarian ways...".

09/05/2015 Edward Snowden appreciated in Norway:

It seems that human rights struggles never end. Governments everywhere share core business goals of self-aggrandizement and expansion inevitably putting them in conflict with the inalienable rights of individuals. Consequently it is extremely important that everyday citizens who have the wherewithal and conviction to take action against either established or burgeoning tyranny be encouraged and celebrated. Toward that end the relatively enlightened Norwegians have *bestowed yet another honor on Edward Snowden "for his work on the important issue of the right of privacy". It's just one more step in the right direction.

One of the essays still posted at this site concisely deals with several fundamental reasons that secrecy is worshiped in halls of power. Specifics of preferred U.S. foreign policy instruments are mentioned as well. I hope you will find time to read it HERE.

09/03/2015 encouraging signs:

Here are encouraging signs that people might be incrementally catching-on about Israel under Netanyahu:   UE endorses BDS against Israel   ||  U.S. Senate saving the nuclear deal   ||  UK recognizing warmongering leadership  and why more and more folks prefer RT.COM:   Richard Spencer on western propaganda
